New FARO models I. and II. Q. 2011

NEW Tatra T602 Tatraplan Sport

It was not posible to finish the long-prepared Tatraplan Sports, due to the missing data of the rear sections of the car. (FARO was preparing four versions simultaneously, each car body is different).

The first up will be the car with starting number 22, with whom Bruno Sojka started in Grand Prix of Czechoslovakia in 1949 at the Brno circuit. Only 500 models will be produced, which will be intended mainly for collectors.

The displayed car started in the twelve-hour endurance race in Brno, in 1950. Crew Pavelka / Ing. Sojka has won the race. Because this Tatraplan Sport has five major differences compared to the car from 1949, which is why a new, relevant, master had to be made. Test of the new Tatraplan Sport will be a part of the new issue of SLOTLOOK magazine 2011/1.

Pre-orders: From 11th March a binding order can be placed on the FARO e-shop. After filling up the stock in April 2011 the T602 will be shipped to your address. From both limited editions there will be approximately 50 models available for the Czech market.

Two versions of a LWB and one version of SWB were added to the family of "monoposts". The first "long" monopost left the Tatra factory in 1953 with starting number four, this car, with the original solution of the front mask and driven by Jaroslav Pavelka, started on a circuit in Liberec. Then the car was fitted with air intake to the oil cooler and then, the same year, it started on the Prague "peace" price, where it was driven by Josef Chovanec with starting number "2". Both models were reconstructed based on original photographs.

This version of the Monopost with the starting number 7, was driven by Alois Mark in Louny, in 1955. Interesting was the use of metal discs from Tatraplan.
